Celebrate the festive time of year with beautiful winter illuminations throughout the Hakone area. There are different museums and locations where you can see the wonderful lights during the winter season.

Hakone Outdoor Museum

Borrow a lantern and walk among the amazing world class sculptures at on of Japan`s most impressive museums. The Night Museum allows visitors to see and feel a different side of this famous destination.

The Night Museum runs until January 6^th and from 16:45 to 18:00

Hakone Little Prince Museum

Located in the highlands of Sengokuhara, the Little Prince Museum is a wonderful attration for all. The winter lights welcome visitors from 15:30 to 18:00 until January 7^th.

Hakone Twilight Fireworks

Ring in the New Years in Japanese style. Visit the famous Hakone Shrine to pray for a healthy and happy new year and stay for the fireworks celebrations startin from midnight on December 31^st.

Komagatake Ropeway

The ropeway has special opening hours during the winter season. You can ride up to one of Hakone`s highest peaks to see and feel the night views and winter sky from 18:00 to 19:00 until December 30^th.
