The Hakone Open Air Museum covers over 70,000 square feet and has one of the most impressive collection of sculptures and works of Pablo Picasso in the world with a beautiful backdrop of the Hakone mountains.
Hakone is one of the most famous places to see and meet Geisha. There are events throughout the year to give visitors a chance to see, interact, and experience this amazing part of Japanese culture and history.

This unique botanical garden, which display most of the aquatic plants seen in japanese wetlands, was first established in 1976. The botanical garden is located in Hakone-Sengokuhara, 650m (2,200 feet ) above sea level.
Sengokuhara is the large highland valley near Lake Ashi. This area is famous for museums, resorts, golfing, and access to the Mt. Fuji area.
Hakone`s Kosui Festival starts soon! Hakone has a week of festivities centered around Lake Ashi and the historic Hakone Shrine. The Hakone Summer Festival Week will be held from 7/31 to 8/5. This is a week full of festivities, fireworks, food stalls, and live performances. Each evening there will be a fireworks event on the shores of Lake Ashi.
